Go Upside Down To Get A New Perspective

L-Shaped Handstand

In yoga, inversions always gives us a new perspective.  I always bring my yoga mat when I travel. I love doing yoga when I get into my hotel room. My body really appreciates it after we've been sitting for long periods of time.

Try this strengthening pose by coming to downward dog with your heels flush with the base of a wall. Then begin to walk your feet up the wall till you get to a 90 degree, L-shape.  Hold this pose for a couple of breaths. Then play with lifting one leg up off the wall.  Come down and rest in child pose.

Note: Listen to your body and avoid this pose if you have any back or shoulder issues.
